Following on from our survey in 2021 we have been through the results and created a wish list of those residents who completed the survey. We provided a summary of the results of the survey to interested suppliers and asked for their suggested plans.
A working party looked at all quotes and designs received and have chosen to go with a design from a company called Kompan.
The process now is to apply for a grant of 10.75% of the total cost, net of VAT, from the Buckingham and Surrounding Villages Community Board. Once accepted into the process this will take 8 weeks for approval to be given.
Once this approval is received we can then submit our grant application to the FCC Communities Foundation. The FCC Community Action Fund provides grants of between £2,000 and £100,000 to not-for-profit organisations for amenity projects eligible under Object D of the Landfill Communities Fund (LCF). We are eligible due to the location of Maids Moreton with a 10 miles radius of the Calvert Landfill Site. We hope to be able to submit our grant application during the Summer and would anticipate hearing if our application is successful sometime in the Autumn.
As a government body, Maids Moreton Parish Council can reclaim VAT on any purchases made on behalf of the community that are deemed to be provided as part of the parish council remit.
